Alright pals, this is an important service notice.
I've noticed not all of my LJ “friends” read all the entries that I post. (Edit: And this is not because people don't comment on my posts often, but because of something else…. I understand many people read everything without saying anything.) The most skipped type of entries seems to be the ones about random philosophy of life that I base my values upon. I actually feel sorry for this, because I agree there can be people who added me because they are just interested in my whatsups but nothing beyond that.
However, this situation limits usability of this journal for me, because I wanted to be able to assume that my friends have actually read those thoughts in this journal—so that, for example, I could open up myself more toward them and/or initiate more in-depth conversations based upon those thoughts, without having to ask “Have you read this and that on my LJ? Good!” first.
So here's the deal: I'm setting up a ring named “Those Who Care”, only to which I'm gonna limit the aforementioned type of rambling. This way, I'll be able to save some scroll for those who don't want to hear my ramblings, and also keep track of who are actually listening to me (for the reason mentioned above). Leave a comment if you want to be added. But please do so only if you are willing to read and share such thoughts with me.
