Just Like the Old Days!

… When we used to make random roadtrips to wherever the latest and sexiest DDR was!  UC Davis and its PIU NX = love.  Especially on a Saturday with friends from the bay area (yay split gas $$$$).  Oh yes.  ♥

jeffthefob: Nice meeting you again!  And yes, I do plan to hit up Davis more often than before.  Keep in touch!

penguinodoom: Did Frolian really drop you on a freeway?  LOL

Book of the Day

And the Walls Came Tumbling Down ]

I think this is probably the third English book over 400 pages that I read from the beginning till the end in one sitting (the first and second being On the Track, a film scoring encyclopedia, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix :-p).  And the interesting, or maybe scary, thing is: This book is on history—American legal history nonetheless.  Yes, it could have been very dense and tasteless, but this book did such an awesome job explaining (or perhaps I should say presenting) various legal landmark cases in the history of this country, all in layman's language.

Strongly recommended to anyone who wants a good read that gives a moment of righteous joy every chapter.  Well, except for the last one, which details an outrageous case in which justice totally failed to reach where it was sorely needed.  Available on, used ones starting from around $5 including tax and shipping.  Yes, you read that right.  $5, not $50.  XD
