Ancient Chinese Idiom of the Day

“One that nears an ink stick turns black.”

There goes why it is important to pick one's friend cautiously.  It saddens me to see a good-natured acquaintance of mine assume bad traits gradually from his/her friends.  Not going into details (because this particular case is in the Korean hemisphere of my life and would require more background explanation than the case itself), but I really hope all of my friends who see this would get the message.  *sigh*

very good quote. makes me think too, and will probably be running through my head the rest of the day. thanx Euge
Actually this has been on my mind on and off for past few years. :-)

Believe me, I've seen it.

Sometimes, the only thing you can hope is that reality strikes and they finally get it. Dante Beze said it best-"Sometimes the hardheaded gotta feel it to believe it".

Re: Believe me, I've seen it.

The sad part is there's one handshake's distance between schadenfreude and sadness/pity.
